So a friend of ours gave us two silk worms and two more in cocoons. They only eat the leaves of a certain tree.
This guy has finished eating and headed to the corner to start making his cocoon.
He started by spinning a single thread from one wall to the other and made a web for himself.
Then he made an oblong shaped thing and was spinning from the inside of it.
And this is what the moth looks like once it comes out of the cocoon. I think it has a cute face.
They live for two days and don't eat anything and have been domesticated for so long they can't even fly. If one of our moths is a male and the other is a female then they might leave an egg and then if we wait one year, we could start all over with caterpillars!
